Weโre sending invitations to people who have had a baby in the last 6 months and live in one of the ten Thriving Hearts counties: Alamance, Caswell, Chatham, Cumberland, Durham, Forsyth, Guilford, Johnston, Orange, or Person.
About the Survey
This survey is part of Thriving Hearts, a program led by local health departments to better support pregnant women and new moms across North Carolina. Over the next five years, around 84,000 families will receive a letter in the mail inviting them to participate.
What to Expect
- An invitation to take the survey will arrive by mail
- The survey takes about 35 minutes to complete online.
- It covers your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experiences.
- Your responses will help us understand whatโs workingโand what needs improvementโto better support families.
- Your answers are confidential and will not be shared with your healthcare provider.

Who Can Participate
If youโre a maternity care provider or professional who serves birthing people in Alamance, Caswell, Chatham, Cumberland, Durham, Forsyth, Guilford, Johnston, Orange, or Person Counties, we want to hear from you! You are eligible to take part in this survey.
About the Study
This survey is part of Thriving Hearts, a local health department-led initiative focused on improving support for maternity care professionals. Over the next five years, weโll conduct the survey six times, about every 9 months, to better understand the health and wellbeing of the workforce.
What to Expect
- The survey is completed online and asks about your mental health, wellbeing, and work experiences.
- Your responses will help shape future efforts to support maternity care professionals across North Carolina.
- Your answers are confidentialโthey will not be shared with your employer, supervisor, or coworkers.
- You can skip any question and stop the survey at any time.
