Self-Paced Training Available Now!
“A Trauma-Informed Approach to Maternal Health” is a new training available to anyone who works or volunteers with pregnant or postpartum people in Thriving Heart counties.
The training aims to increase health team knowledge about the impact of trauma in maternal health care, the benefits of trauma-informed care for everyone in the maternal health setting, and tools to implement person-centered, respectful care.
This self-paced online training reviews:
- Ways to recognize and respond thoughtfully when past traumas trigger stress responses in ourselves, family members, friends, coworkers, patients and clients
- The role of trauma and chronic stress in pregnancy and birth outcomes
- Examples of trauma-informed care that reduces the risk of traumatization
- We hope you will be able to take advantage of this free training made possible by the Thriving Hearts grant.
After registering, you will receive an email that includes a link to the training.
